Module 3
Healing deepens when we make room to fully feel what our body is holding.
A NOTE FROM CAROL
Module 3 — Feeling Feelings Without Words
As I began uncovering truths that had been hidden from my awareness, feelings often surfaced alongside them. For many years, I believed that understanding my emotions was the same thing as feeling them. I could explain them, analyze them, and even teach about them. Yet some feelings remained just beneath the surface, appearing at unexpected times and in unexpected ways.
I didn't understand what was happening until mentors helped me recognize that some emotions were still waiting to be felt. I discovered that naming a feeling was not always the same as experiencing it. Many of the feelings I had avoided for years seemed to be asking for my attention.
Around that time, I read a book by Karol Truman titled Feelings Buried Alive Never Die. The title stayed with me because it captured something I was beginning to understand for myself. Feelings that are pushed aside do not simply disappear. They wait to be seen, acknowledged, and felt.
Over time, I learned that not every feeling needs a story. Sometimes healing begins when we simply allow ourselves to experience what is already present in the body.
This practice creates space for emotions to be felt rather than managed.

The body carries experiences that
words alone cannot release.

Emotions are more than thoughts. They are physical experiences that can be felt throughout the body—in the chest, the stomach, the throat, the jaw, or wherever they have been quietly waiting.
This practice invites you to notice those sensations with gentle awareness and stay present with them. As feelings are experienced rather than avoided, the body begins to release what it has been carrying.
Like the practice itself, this companion space continues to unfold.

PAUSE FOR REFLECTION & PRACTICE
Before moving on, take a moment to pause.
These reflections are not meant to be completed perfectly.
Simply notice what arises.
REFLECTION PROMPT
What emotion has been asking for your attention lately?
A SHORT PRACTICE
Pause and bring awareness to your body.
Without naming or explaining anything, notice:
Where do you feel sensation?
Is it heavy or light?
Moving or still?
Warm or cool?
Allow yourself to feel without needing words.
The practice you are exploring in this module is part of a larger journey.
Each module shines light on a different aspect of awareness and healing, yet all eight work together to create greater spaciousness, presence, and peace.
Return often. Notice what changes. Trust what unfolds.

The journey of Holding Space is a journey home—
to yourself, to love, and to the freedom of caring without carrying.
