8-Limb Classes (On-demand self-paced)
Carol provides a simple-to-understand 2-part plan. You can immediately begin. Most are able to move through Part 1--learning the first poses,-- pretty quickly.
Part 2 invites you to learn about your amazing mind and that you have the power to make new choices and change your life. Based on ancient yogic technology about the human nervous system, study with us and create the life you wish to have.
Generally, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Practices are not done with music. (Other kinds of Yoga use a lot of playlists as they do poses.)
There are a few ways, however, that I find music helpful. I also have a few narrations that I think are useful.
Suggested ways to use the music are included on the page. Carol with add to this page over time. Click the button here to open the Recommended music page.
The very best way to learn yoga is with an experienced teacher in person.
When that is simply not possible, online IN REAL TIME (not recorded) is the next best.
Recorded classes are good for filling in once you have initially learned a set of poses.
Schedule for in-person and online options are listed. Talk to me about what is convenient for you and we'll try to add it.
"8-Limb" refers to yoga practices beyond poses.
I used to think the philosophies of yoga might be strange or somehow" religious" or "against my religion". As it turns out, studying them has helped me deepen my spiritual foundation including understanding my own mind, my personal connection to God, and the religious texts I know and love.
This resource page catalogs relevant videos, blog posts, and podcasts.
